About the Festival
Now in its eighth year, The Midleton Food and Drink Festival is a true feast for the senses, showcasing an extensive collection of culinary delights from Midleton and surrounding areas.
There are over 60 different food stalls to whet your appetite, including the famous Ballymaloe Country Relish, O’Flynn’s Gourmet Sausages, Cuthbert’s Handmade Bread and Green Saffron Spices.
The festival also serves up a great day’s entertainment for all with a variety of street performance artists, craft exhibitions, wine tasting and a full programme of food and cookery demonstrations from wonderful producers such as Ballyvolane House and Ballycotton Seafood.
Other highlights include the Fashion Show hosted by The Granary Restaurant and the Jameson Cocktail Competition. Fans of “Come Dine with Me” can view a special food demonstration with Bubbly Cork Contestant Helena Crowley Hayes. Will she get her dish right on the day?!
For the little ones, there are puppet shows, storytelling, face painting, and crafts. Crafty Hands Pottery will provide them with a great opportunity for children to get creative with clay and make their very own replicas of the Bronze Age food vessel which will be on display.
Visit us on Saturday 10th September 2011
